Our Cooperative Teaching Artists and Private Instruction
Most music schools have “faculty.” At Portland's only music education cooperative, we call our music teachers Cooperative Teaching Artists (CTAs). CTAs are multi-talented musicians given the unique opportunity to teach, perform, and collaborate, making our community a more vibrant place for music making. Our one-of-a-kind cooperative structure allows them to share resources, ideas, and space to keep musicianship high.
Lessons are arranged by the CTAs your schedule. Since we operate as a cooperative, each teacher sets their own own rates, but expect $20-30 per 30 minute lesson and more for hour lessons.
